Intumescent Closed Cell Foam Tape

Sealmaster Intumescent Closed Cell Foam Tape is a new black medium pressure intumescent glazing tape that is available on long length spools to minimize glazing installation wastage.

It has been specifically developed to ensure reliable fire performance where a cost effective solution is required for a fire glazing application. It has been developed to achieve successful fire performance to BS and EN Standards for both doors and screens and is aimed particularly at 30 minute and 60 minute applications. Sealmaster Intumescent Closed Cell Foam Tape is a strong, flexible and compressible intumescent tape product exhibiting a medium pressure intumescent behaviour with a thermal expansion
of up to 8 times its original volume. This high thermal expansion gives it unique gap filling properties in fire glazing applications and it is particularly effective when used with modified toughened fire glass types. This allows for the development of highly cost effective fire glazing systems having very reliable fire performance. On exposure to heating the unique chemical formulation allows the product to retain exceptional char stability to beyond 900°C, far surpassing simple polymeric closed cell foam glazing tape products currently on the market.
