The Hurricane 3018 is a compression bulb seal insert designed for use with Hurricane aluminium stop seal carriers. When fitted as part of a Hurricane sealing system, the 3018 insert provides a highly effective solution for controlling air, smoke, gas, light and sound leakage around windows and doors.

Manufactured from durable elastomer material, the Hurricane 3018 compression bulb insert is suited to applications where consistent sealing pressure and improved tolerance take-up are required. The bulb profile allows the seal to deform evenly under compression, accommodating variations in frame and sash alignment while maintaining reliable contact around the full perimeter of the opening.

The 3018 insert is commonly specified for use around casement windows with cranked hinges and other openings where dependable all-round sealing is essential. When used within a Hurricane rebated seal system, it contributes to excellent air leakage control and enhanced weather performance, making it suitable for demanding environments.

The insert can be used in both rebated and surface-fixed Hurricane carriers, making it suitable for new purpose-made windows and doors as well as upgrade and refurbishment projects. It fits securely into the aluminium carrier and can be replaced without removing the holder, allowing for straightforward maintenance and long-term performance.
