Tempest seals fitted with the 3088 compression bulb insert are designed for use on rebated meeting stiles of pairs of doors, most commonly French doors or other applications where the door leaf and frame are flush. The compression bulb provides effective sealing where controlled compression is required, making it suitable for installations where the control of smoke, gas, and air leakage is important.

Used in conjunction with appropriate stop and threshold seals, the 3088 insert delivers reliable sealing performance while accommodating movement between door leaves. The flexible neoprene compression bulb ensures consistent contact and durability over repeated use.

The Tempest base holder is screw-fixed to the required surface and accepts the 3088 insert securely. Fixings are concealed by the clip-on cover section, which is available in ribbed or piped finishes to complement Sealmaster threshold sections. For example, Tempest SKS/3088 is designed to match Cyclone TDS/WDS thresholds.
