The Hurricane 3015 is an angled blade seal insert designed for use with Hurricane aluminium stop seal carriers. When fitted as part of a Hurricane sealing system, the 3015 insert provides an effective solution for controlling air, smoke, gas, light and sound leakage around windows and doors.

Manufactured from durable elastomer material, the Hurricane 3015 angled blade insert is particularly suited to applications where improved acoustic performance is required. When used within a Hurricane rebated seal system, sound transmission improvements of up to Rw = 10dB can be achieved, making it ideal for environments where noise reduction is important.

The angled blade profile allows the insert to deflect easily on contact, accommodating minor variations in frame and sash alignment while maintaining consistent sealing pressure. This makes the 3015 insert especially suitable for use around casement windows with cranked hinges, where reliable all-round sealing is required.

The insert can be used in both rebated and surface-fixed Hurricane carriers, making it suitable for new purpose-made windows and doors as well as upgrade and refurbishment projects. It fits securely into the aluminium carrier and can be replaced without removing the holder, allowing for straightforward maintenance and long-term performance.

Typical applications include windows and doors where control of air leakage is critical, photographic dark rooms requiring light-tight sealing, and environments where enhanced acoustic performance is required.
